I figured I'd put a list of known Mobile shells on here in case anyone wants to try something different.  Some of these have been around for a while but I haven't seen much talk of it on this site.  Anyone who has more to add to this list let me know and we'll get it on here.  Any questions?  Post them here!  But here it is:

First is SPB Mobile Shell

  • SPB Mobile shell is a fully customizable interface.  By Default, You have 3 "Lifestyle" pages (custom pages), and 1 "Professional" page (not directly editable.)  You can add, delete, or rearrange nearly everything on here.

  • You'll have 15 days with this trial.  The rest is up to you.

Next is Winterface

  • Winterface is what some might call and iPhone clone.  Winterface consists of fully customizable pages where you can have up to 4x4 icons (as far as I know.)  Adding applications is easy through the "Menu" function.  It also comes with a S2U feature which you can enable or disable.  Winterface is an add-on item for the home menu, so it needs to be turned on via: start->settings->today->items tab->check winterface.  Read the full manual here:
    http://vitotechnology.com/manual_/pdf/Winterface_manual_en.pdf
And the download link is here:
    http://vitotechnology.com/files/files/Winterface.cab

  • You'll have 15 days with this trial.  The rest is up to you.

  • Want themes?  Here's the link.  Read carefully through these threads because they are a bit confusing, but once you get it it it's easy.  Be aware that there aren't many themes yet, just give it some time because they're developing rapidly:

Next is PointUI Home 2

  • You'll have 15 days with this trial.  The rest is up to you.

 Cool

Is there any visual change in the 3.5 version? Or is it just the same as the 3.0 with increased performance?

One of the visual changes is the carousel. It now tilts when you swipe down on it, showing a circle of windows. You can also enable the G-Sensor an it tilts by G-sensor.

People say it's faster. I installed it on the TP last night and played around with it for quite a while.  For me, it got stuck in some places, like the 3D Messaging screen. It just froze up and then the program quit.

I tried it several times, with the same result.

I know it does better for many others. I still like a customized TF3D better.

Ok, thanks A2M.

But - 3D Messaging Screen? Can I send SMS from here with a better look than the regular Windows Mobile? !!!!

The 3d messaging screen looked more like a mock-up of TF3D messaging. Since I got stuck there, I don't know 100% - but I think it's only for reading the first 5 or so lines.

In all the messaging icons that were in the program, it brought you right back to the old WM messaging apps.

Ohh.. To bad, because I'm really sick of the standard messaging screen from WM. Eventhough I love it because it's threaded, it is kind of boring.
