This is the weirdest thing that has possibly ever happened to me. I've had my HTC Touch Pro 2 for almost a year and a half now and this has never happened to me until recently.

My touch screen works perfectly, has a good response time and I am happy with it. However when ever I get to work at any time of day or around the area that i work, the touch screen just stops working. I cannot open anything with the screen. My hardware keys work perfectly, it is just my touch screen that stops working. And when I go home after work, my screen somehow starts working again.

I have searched the internet and have never come across this. This is the weirdest thing ever. Can someone please help me.

Regards
Jonathan

Strange. Well if it is working now I guess it is no problem. However it seems strange. I have encountered the issue though, but have yet to find any reasonable answer for it.

Because the screen is a resistive screen (meaning it has two layers with a narrow gap between then, and when they touch the phone reacts), it might be explained by weather. That the layers become ineffective when it is cold or something. However I am just guessing here.

It is weird though that it works outside of my office block but as soon as I get inside it gets faulty and unresponsive. It works the whole weekend when I'm at home or go out, but when I get into my office after about half an hour it will stop working.

Do phones possibly operate under different frequencies? and could something interfere with with these frequencies? And when it interferes it causes the screen to stop working?

Wow, I'm sorry. I cannot answer this question. When it comes to frequencies etc on the phones I really am not enough qualified. However, I would think that it is kind of strange. But you should ask at a phone store.
