Sooo... I've been having HUGE problems with my phone lately & unfortunately 2days ago the screen just went TOTALLY black!! I can't see ANYTHING! I've tried everything I can think of & unfortunately nothing seems to work. I can answer the phone if it rings by pressing the "phone" button & I can make a call by pressing the same button twice (like a re-dial) but that's it.

So, with that said, I'm going to be getting a loaner from my local Bell Store until I figure out what I want to do. Problem is I NEED my contacts!!!! Being the retard that I am I never really used ActiveSync in the past. I just installed it & tried to find my contacts to back them up on my laptop but I can't seem to find them...

If anyone can help me I'd be SOOOOOOOO grateful!!! Like, buy you a case of beer grateful!!! lol...

Canadiandy, update your ROM.

You can do this by going to http://www.HTC.com and to support. Find your phone and find the ROM-Update. Download latest ROM update and follow instructions from there.

(Download only downloads 1 file, connect phone via activesync of WMDC and double click the file)

I switched to the TP2 and I have no problems with it.  No late rings.  I like it much better than the TP.

 

I've loved my TP until I started receiving lots of calls. I miss them all the time now because of the ring delay. I even did a hard reset and it still clocks at over two rings. I suspect many people don't realize this. Try calling your cell from a land line and see how many times it rings before you hear it on your TP.

I tried DiamondTweak, no difference. I tried using a wav. file, no change.

Does anyone know if the same thing happens on the Touch Pro 2?

To get to the screen that has the relevant info, you need to dial ##778#. To edit the info, you'll need your MSL code. If your phone number is reflected properly in there, you can out of that screen and update your profile in the phone's settings menu (PRL / Profile etc.)

Hi, new here.  Just dragged my TP outta storage and joined here to peruse all the goodies and reap the benefit of you guys' wisdom. 

Ok I have a touch pro 2 with the same issue. I tried to go into Start/Settings/System/Device Information but there is no entry for "Current username"... I have also entered ##data# and deleted all of the info. After resetting it contacts sprint, gets my username and pw. and continues on its merry way with that annoying error. I am truly not concerned with the fact that it HAS the error. Just want to get rid of the popups...

It's no problem. it only works for for email and text messages. There is no zooming in today screen etc...

I recently had to reset the phone so I forget if I did some sort of hack or if a feature is just not working. 

When I open an email or a text message to read it, I can swirl my finger around the center select button to zoom in or out.  This works for the text in the message, but it does not seem to work any longer for the following:

• List of Outlook messages - Large font only fits 6 messages in list
• Replying to OL or TXT message - Font where I am typing is really big.  Only a few words per line and only one line in txt message can be seen on sends and replys.
• Today screen - Font to big
• Appointment and email titles - Font to big
