I don't like curves, ups and downs which is why I don't ride the 'thrill rides' at amusement parks-same goes when I upgrade to a new phone-I have a week old HTC Touch Pro from Verzion (first smartphone) and I am not enjoying the learning curve but I think it is a great phone (so far) and will more than meet my needs. My main purpose of upgrading to a smartphone is to have access to data in Word, Excel and Outlook. I may have a lot of questions to post initially but will not ask them all at the same time.

I am a retired accountant, 38 years in aerospace accounting and 3 years as business manager at a parochial high school. My hobby is woodworking (small items) making wooden pictures without use of paint or stains, the trade name is intarsia. This fall I will be able to fulfill a dream that I have had since I was a teenager, i.e. to teach. Well, almost teach. I have been accepted as a substitute teacher in a local Texas school district and am really excited and looking forward to the experience. But I have a loss of hearing in one ear and need to hurry and get some help before I step into a classroom.

Welcome!

Very interesting wood working hobby. I grew up with some nice inlaid furniture pieces like that, and some Japanese wall pictures too. They incorparated mother-of-pearl as well. Beautiful!

You'll find many useful "how-tos" around the site. Whatever questions you don't find answered, ask away!
