Looking forward to take advantage of the expertise on this board. Yesterday I dropped my HTC Touch Pro about 2 feet on the floor and touch screen stopped working. I have tried my best to make it work again, but had no success. I searched online for a replacement and found a good deal on touch screen replacement kit at http://www.dealrocker.com/promotions/buy.com/deals. They are offering it with tools for $13.99 with tools. Can anyone provide me step by step instructions to replace the touch screen?

Any help will be appreciated.

There are some people on ppcgeeks that can help you unbrick it. If it's locked to sprint, it should have taken the official  ROM. If it didn't and you have insurance, you can file a claim. But if you loaded a custom ROM, you'll have to fix it, they won't.

Now its stuck on bootloader error screen with no image(ROM). i need help to send my phone back, idk if theyll take a semi bricked phone. im really confused.

I cannot install mymobiler until I get Active Sync mode turned back on.

Does any one else have any suggestions as to how I can use the keyboard to turn off USB drive mode and re-enable Active Sync mode?

I still have the old LiveSearch and Previous Bing that did not have this new interface or features missing, however after a minute of using it I get a prompt telling me that this version does not work with my phone.  I then have a choice to download the latest, but if I say no, the program closes.

Is there a hack or something that keeps either LiveSearch or the first Bing from checking for updates.  Both still work fine because they work long enough for me to get all the info I was checking for, but after it is online for a minute or two I get the forced shutdown or upgrade notice.

Here's the old app (you'll have to be a member of ppcgeeks to see the download, but it's free) http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=187823&postcount=3

You can install MyMobiler http://www.mymobiler.com/ . Now you can use the PC keyboard and mouse to navigate your phone.

Same happened to me. What has happened is that; the under-layer of the screen has departed with the over-layer of the screen, causing an air bobble to fill the empty room that was not there before this happened.

If you have a kind of oil spot on your screen this confirms it. Take it to the place where you bought it and ask for a repair.
