Need info on Reminder and Voice Contol apps

My daughter has HTC Touch Pro2 (Sprint).  I'm looking to purchase both a good voice contol and a reminder app for her phone.  I am told that Vlingo Plus is an excellent voice contol app - but is it compatable with her HTC?  For a reminder app, she needs something that will sound an alarm to get her attention for an impending  or missed appointment or task, as she is constantly on the move and dealing w/ several things at once.  Some says Bug Me, but I thought they didn't work w/HTC.  Any info on Re-Reminder?   I'm not a computer-savy father and the info I see is frequently contrary.

I'd greatly appreciate any advice as to apps and their sites.
