Hi guys,

I've had the Touch Pro for about 10 hours now.  I think I'm in love.   Grin

I'm looking for a leather case that can easily flip open and allow access to the keyboard with minimal fuss.  So far I found two that look like potentials:

Link for PDA Hut Case:

Link for Carry Mobile Case:

I think I like the PDA Hut one, but it's a website in Britain, and I'm in the US.

I just got the pda hut case today. It fits perfect. I was worried about the way it covers the keyboard, but it doesnt effect use of it at all. It does effect the feel of the buttons but thats an easy adjustment. Im in the states also and bought mine from pocket solutions. Shipping was so cheap I expedited it and got it in 2 days. Found it pretty easily by using google.

I do not have any affiliation w/ this company or site. Im just a satisfied customer.

Looks like they're out of stock at PocketSolutions.  I found them in stock here:

One flaw Ive noticed after having this case for one day is that the ringer speaker is covered. It does muffle the ring some. It works fine if you use a loud ringtone, but quieter, more subtle ones can be hard to hear.

Well I got my case from EliteExtreme today - this is the case posted above as the "PDA Hut" case.  Nice quality case.  Biggest flaw is that it covers the speaker which makes it harder to hear it ring.  This had to be remedied immediately, so I cut a slit using a razer, which solved the problem.  Still, I don't like having to cut an otherwise perfect leather case.  Bummer.

I ordered rubberized case from WirelessGround.com, a saw one like this that a friend of mine has, and thought I'd try it.  It's a different approach than the traditional book style case, but who knows, I may like it.

Well, this case below isn't working out too well.   Sad

The front of the Touch Pro is completely flat.  Where the screen ends and the surrounding plastic material of the TP begins is completely flush, unlock some of the previous Pocket PCs I've owned, where the screen is sunken somewhat, and the frame around it is raised.  The problem this creates is that the TP powers on for reminders, etc., and then the case is "tapping" the screen from just being moved around in my pocket.

Yesterday I heard the audible noise of screen taps when I was walking around.  When I opened the TP, it was in Contacts, had one opened up, and some keystrokes were entered!  All from the case making contact with the touch screen.

I see no way around it with this present case, so as much as I wanted to like it, I'm afraid it was a loss of $32.  The rubberized case should arrive soon, hopefully I fare better with that.

couple of fixes that you might want to look into.

S2U2 - slide to unlock - its an app that "mimics" the iPhone locking slider.  Nice little app, that will keep your scrn from accidentally being turned on.

also, your scrn should NOT be turning on by itself...go and check your settings about the updates...you can always update manually IF that is an option for you.

There are a couple of others locking/unlocking apps that keeps you scrn from being completely active.

ThrottleLock - an app that requires you to trace a pattern around 9 points on the scrn to unlock the phone.  I have tried both, and I prefer S2U2.

$40 is a lot to spend on a case you can't use...try these and see if you can save your case.

I see that you are looking for a case...I purchased a skin from the store "Skytech" that is listed on ebay. It is a perfect fit for the Pro and doesn't block any functions of the phone whatsoever! I didn't have trouble installing the screen protector that came with the phone so the screen is protected even though the skin doesn't cover it. If you like the chrome on the sides of the Pro and don't want to hide it, the skin might not be for you. But if you don't mind that flaw, I would recomend it. I purchased it for $9.95 and since the shipping was so cheap ($2.00) I payed the extra $3.00 for two day delivery and it arrived at my doorstep in three days. They sent an email with the tracking # the next day, which was about 6 hours( I ordered it at 2am) and was very happy dealing with them. I hope this helps you!
