A quick note of reminder for those looking for an extended battery...

1) craigslist and ebay...you're buying at your own risk.  Batteries can be tricky...and you should remember that saving 20 bucks on craigslist may not be worth that $500 device that you own.

2) Expansys and Seidio are a couple of different online cell accessory stores that have good recommendations thus far.

3) Majority of extended batteries will require you to use "THEIR" battery door making your TP looking pregnant and bulky.  There are some that can fit under the current hood, but the extended life may NOT be worth the money that you'll be spending.

4) Consider that if you buy an extended battery AND you don't mind the extra bulk...not too many cases will accommodate your now pregnant TouchPro.

5) IT IS NORMAL that your battery life is short relative to a regular cell phone.  Most smart devices have poor battery life...unfortunately, the Touch Pro's is on the short end of that stick.

6) There are hacks, registry edits and systems settings that can prolong your TouchPro's battery life.
a- search the forum for that info
b- search PPC Geeks and XDA developers as well.

Just a word to the wise...

I purchased two batteries for $20 on eay from ebay id otakugarden, item description Battery x2 for Sprint HTC Touch pro T7272 O2 Diamond

Guess what? 2 batteries for $20 was too good to be true! The seller claimed they work for HTC touch pro's but not Sprint Touch Pro. I'm not aware of any difference as far as the battery is concerned, so I think he's full of it. But in any case, my $$ was refunded in full (thanks to a paypal dispute). And to be fair, I did purchase a couple of 3.5 mm audio adapters from the same seller that work fine.

Just go into a sprint store and complain about the battery life.  Ask if they have any for sale.  I walked out today with a battery and and a stylus(lost both that came with phone in less than 3 weeks) all for free.  Plan on hitting 1 more store then I will get a cradle charger and charge 2 at night and during the day.  Should keep me with battery power all day.

On a side note, last week got a battery labeled and looked exactly like our battery.  Only difference was 06M instead of 12M on battery model #.  Phone did not recognize it.  Was in Sprint packing with HTC Touch Pro on label.  Boy was that guy mad when he found out he bought a whole shipment of stuff that don't work.  He also had the styluses for the other TP.

I ordered an extra battery right from HTC.  It costs $40.  Has not arrived in the mail yet.   I called Sprint tele-sales and they connected me through to HTC.

I for one am ok with the whole swapping of batteries. I had the Instinct, and would carry a extra battery with me, and switch it about two thirds thru of the day. Will prob get one for my TP and do the same.

That...doesn't even make sense. So here goes.

Putting a shell cover on the phone contributes to global warming, as the globe warms the ice caps melt and the ocean rises, flooding more coastal area. this flooding will drive the populations away from coastal areas and cause an extreme rise in population density. Due to this mcdonalds will flourish and giant robots that transform into cars will take over the world. Some guy names Neo will be the one, he will save us from giant transforming, flesh eating robots and everybody will be happy, then giant space ships with captains named "Picard" "Janeway" and "Kirk" will take us all out to a space station where the jedi will teach us the secret of how they power their light sabers, making the battery in your phone obsolete.

You're welcome Cheesy

lol  Tongue  no what i meant and should have writen it this way.
so if you put on a shell or anytype of protection over the phone, the anntena gets covered by the protective shell. i read in the owners manule not to cover the battery example your hand or fingers which is right were the camera lens is located, on the back side of the phone.  meaning the phone has to work harder and thus uses more battery energy. amd shorting the battery life.
