Hey guys!

Can anyone recommend a battery extender for the touch pro?
I ask because I've had bad experience with finding battery extender for other smartphones and pdas and I don't wanna end up buying something that's advertised as working but in reality doesn't work...

Thanks

if you are worried about that, then maybe you should consider just buying 2nd battery.

I was unhappy with the stock battery life for my Pro. So I purchased a battery bank from www.expansys.com. It is reported to hold up to 3 charges. I have found that it will charge my Pro from dead to full batt once and then a half charge only. I have never gotten more than one and a half charges out of the battery bank. But, for a few dollars more than the extended life battery, I am willing to take the 1 and a half charges as I have never run out of juice while on the go! The bank costs $87.00 + shipping and I think it is rated at2850 mah, if I remember right. Expansys was a joy to deal with. I had the tracking # the next day and it arrived at my doorstep three days later! I recommend it.

I am with Sprint.  I usually stay away from Sprint accessories like the plague since they are OVERPRICED!!  BUT...I did pick up their portable power pack for about $45.  I am VERY PLEASED with the results.  Basically you're carrying around an external battery that is more than twice the batt life of the on board OEM battery.  The only "extended" battery out that I trust is on Seidio...but it only gives you an extra 10%.  The longer lasting extended battery that they will eventually come out with...will require you to install a pregnant battery door.  So your TP will be even more bulky.

I'm a Sprint Nextel employee with a Sprint Nextel CDMA Touch pro. My posts are my own opinion though, not anything official from Sprint Nextel

Seidio has another extended battery for the Sprint version of the Touch Pro.  It has approx 50% more capacity (2000mAh).  I purchased and received mine almost a couple of weeks ago and love it.  Now, I can go the entire day on a full charge and juice to spare and I am a heavy user (voice, emails, GPS).

It's worth it!!!!!

I actually picked up the IO Gear brand power pack. It got great reviews in PVc Mags ect and for the price it could not be beat. I paid 11.oo for it wholesale.  It says it casn charge two devices but I have found it to do bout 1 and half charges.   It also comes with a bunch of adapter including a mini that does match the HTC touch pro perfectly but it does charge it good.

Heres the link http://www.iogear.com/product/GMP1001B/

I think they make a better one but for the price its well worth it

That's a nice unit KHPower. Too bad I didn't know of it a couple of months ago. I bought a couple of Motorola P790 Portable Power Chargers which basicly does the same thing but doesn't have the additional connectors. It will charge anything with a mini usb connector. I can also plug it in and use my phone while it is hooked up, it just adds a little 'length' (size wise) to the Pro..... lol

As we all know, the battery life on the htc is worse than piss poor....grrr.

Tnx for the find.
