Why does the ringtone sound start so late after receiving a call? First my phones lights up, then it'll show the contact, and THEN the ringtone will start playing. Is there anyway to get the ringtone to start as soon as the call is being received? I've missed quite a few phones calls because I can't hear my phone ringing until the caller is half way to my voicemail... Thanks

Well 1.) If you see it light up why aren't you picking it up? haha just kidding
but make sure in Settings/Sound/Advanced/Notifications/Event: Phone: Incoming Call ..... that you're ring type isn't set to "VIBRATE THEN RING" because i've had a problem with that setting.
If you want it to "VIBRATE AND RING" (that's what I have and I have no problem) you can change it there under the ring type as well.
I do agree with you that the load time of the whole process is a bit slow. Mine lights up, shows the number, then shows the contact name and picture. I think if you allow it to vibrate and ring you'll feel it and by the time you look at it everything will be there (ring, contact, picture). SO that's my suggestion.

Are you using midi files or sound files? That can make a difference. The fastest loading file should be a .wav file.
Midi files tend to have a little space at the beginning because they're not "technically" sound files, they're actually a file of instructions that play a synthesizer in the sound card - as opposed to an actual sound recording like a .wav or .mp3.

Is it possible that the file you are using as a ringtone is pretty large, and thus taking time to load up?
I compress my ringtones down.

See if it does the same when you assign it a generic ring.

Yeah, it does! The process: First the dpad start blinking-->The screen fades on-->The caller ID shows-->THEN the ringtone starts (Doesn't matter which ringtone, their all the same!) BUT! I called the support, and they told me that it might be the network, so get a new Sim-Card (A up to date one) I will try this!

Try this app. It was created to offer the ability to customize how your phone rings. Note : I have never personally used it so I can't tell you for sure if it works. Just giving an option for someone to try. Let me know if this works for anybody http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400779

I really truthfully believe that they wanted these phones to be on the setting for vibrate and ring. Besides being in a room by yourself, the volume isn't really loud anyway. By having it on vibrate and ring, you know your phones ringing before you look at it. I just hate how it uses sooo much battery, but I know carry my charger all the time plus have a car charger for when I'm in need for it.

I installed the Diamond Tweak that you describe and set the Ringtone to Instant Ring and Ring Time to Without delay and it still will not play the ringtone untill after three rings the caller hears.
