I did search but didn't find anything. I am trying to turn off the Data connection but it keeps coming back on. When I try to use my phone as a modem it says end data connection. Any thoughts?  Cheers Jan

If you want to terminate Data Connection there is a small little program that works pretty slim for that;
NoData:

Hope it helps.

That is used if she doesn't want data period, otherwise she will have to install and uninstall everytime she wants to turn on or off her data connection.

She don't need to uninstall the program each time, just disable the setting. It's done by, open NoData, choose setting that you want disabled, click it. Same thing to enable. It takes about 30 secounds.

Well I called Telus and they said hold the hang up button for 2 seconds, then plug in the phone. Start the WModem and connect PC. Worked like a charm, bad news is I thought it would be part of phone's surfing minutes and it is not. $8.00 per MB as it is tethering! Monday I am calling my corporate rep and change my plan. Telus has a key out now, and then I will just pick up email on my phone and do my surfing on the laptop. Thanks for everything gentlemen! Have a great weekend, Jan

Holding the Hang Up button for a few seconds if the same as Terminate Data Connection. (which you also can do by going into Settings (tf3d) Communication and off on Data Connection.

But glad it worked out for you!

Ok, thanks for the info. Might be a problem on TPs which I haven't noticed yet. Anyways, thanks. It can be very helpful in the future.
