I have a touch pro by sprint. I am wondering I see they have another upgrade to 6.5 do I really need to upgrade to 6.5 or is 6.1 okay? Operating sys. Also Is there such a program/ app that can take your saved voicemails and forward them to your email account where you can listen to them via email? I want to save my voicemails because after so many days they delete automatically? Thanks for your replies Smiley

Welcome aboard!

There's no official upgrade to WM 6.5 for the Touch Pro - and it's likely that there will not be one.

The ROM upgrade posted on HTC.com from 9/25/09 is a maintenance release to WM 6.1. You don't NEED to upgrade the phone, but I would. It has some very nice improvements, the Slide-to-Answer Dialer, for one.

Visual Voicemail:
There are 2 possibilities.

1) Google Voice  http://www.google.com/googlevoice/about.html
Once you have a Google Voice number, you can forward the voicemail you presently have in your Sprint Voicemail Inbox to the Google number and have it for save keeping.

2) Fusion Voicemail Plus   http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-fusion-voicemail-plus-2-0.html
The application itself is free, however - the service to make it work is NOT! Sadly, Sprint will charge you generously for each voicemail, as it is working as a call forwarding feature.

Hopefully, in the future, Visual Voicemail will become commonplace for us, but for now, it's not.
