Hi, apparently, I do a lot of pocket dialing with my Touch Pro. What can I do to take care of this problem?

Thanks

This has been covered numerous times.  In fact is was just covered once today.

Download Slide 2 Unlock here :

Tried that once before. Did not feel that it would solve my problems but I'll give it another shot.

Thanks.

First of all;
Please use Search Smiley

And for the question:
Quote
Slide 2 Unlock (S2U2) may help you here, because you have to slide the bar, this helped me for a while, until I found a program named Pocketshield!

It's a great program which let you answer by (also) sliding your finger, but in a different way than the S2U2, and I find it quite attractive!

Also, it can protect the screen under a conversation! (You will have to slide your finger downward from screen to unlock so you can press anything! BUT you can dissmiss a call/end a call by pressing the hardware button)

Heres the link.
http://www.pocketshield.net/default.htm

And also:
Quote
Also remember that between the check and the big green A with a circel around (The OK and Activate button) If there's a Screen with a "!" in, press on it, and the pocketshield logo will show, this means that it's activated Smiley

And 3.5 .NET Compact Framework is required! (For those who didn't manage to open it!)
Here's how you get it! Cheesy

GO here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E3821449-3C6B-42F1-9FD9-0041345B3385&displaylang=en

Download it to your computer

Make sure you know where it downloads to

Connect your Touch Pro to your computer with your data cable (Make sure to choose Connect with ActiveSync on your phone)

Click on the file on your computer.  Follow the setup instructions on the computer.  It will prompt you to check your phone and finish the set up.  Soft reset your device.

Then try opening that program again.

There has been a big discussion about PocketShield; check out this thread Smiley

Thanks, my problem seems to be that if while in my pocket, the bottom left "answer the phone" button is pressed twice, it calls back my last call. It is really embarrassing when when people tell me I called them and they just heard muffled people talking.

I guess I either forget to put the phone in standby after using it or the standby button on top gets pressed in my pocket then people get dialed. Slide2Unlock should help with coming out of standby but I'll check out the other application's thread too.

Thanks. I did scan the first few pages of topics before posting but should have used search too.

Remember, S2U2 is a power drainer, so if you're not charging your phone each and every night - You will now Wink

PocketShield doesn't drain power like S2U2 Wink So I would recommand PocketShield Smiley

This line from PocketShield interests me:

----
However, you can be confident that when the device is inside a pocket, pouch, suitcase, glove compartment or whatever, or even resting faced down, PocketShield will prevent your phone to be exposed to undesired screen touch.
----

If this is true then no more pocket dialing!

This is the truth/fact also!!! I've had NO (I mean 0, ZERO, NONE) Missed calls! Unaccidental presses etc...!!

If there is anything you're wondering about PocketShield, some good settings, themes, anything!, feel free to PM me and I will help you the best I can Wink

Theres always the best option...don't put it in your pocket...you won't have those pocket dialing issues...
