hey ! dropped my sony x1 the other day now its dead ! so the insurance company are sending me a htc touch pro on tuseday, have never owned a htc nor knew they existed ! will the htc be better than the sony ? or should i have picked the blackberry lol.

Just from looking at it, it seems the sony x1 feels a bit sleeker. The TP has the same thickness, but is a bit shorter and not as wide - and somewhat heavier. So it will feel more "brick-like" in your hand.

I have never used a sony x1, so I can't say much about the difference in the UI, except that after you get used to the TF3D - and provided you have a very responsive TP - you'll like it's ease of use.

A really good step up would have been the Touch Pro 2 - now that's a flagship phone there!

At this point, I feel a stock Touch Pro is a joke. However, with the help of a few apps and a quality ROM, it can be quite nice. So, if you do end up disliking it, make sure you give a different ROM a chance to change your mind about it.

Also, read up on hard resetting it when you first get it.
