Hi Im new to the forum, I just recently bought the HTC Touch Pro 2 from T-Mobile. I am not the best when it comes to computer stuff but most of the things I need to use this phone for I have figured out. my big concern is I use youtube a lot, and that little special youtube browser the phone has built into it will not let me log into my account and it will not let me do everything Im able to do on the computer. So I want to be able to go on to youtube on the opera browser or on the internet explorer browser. Every time I go to youtube.com on the browser everything is ok, but it will not let me watch videos, it keeps saying that I either have the java script turned off or I have to get the latest version of adobe flash player. so me being no good with computers downloaded the adobe flash player for a normal PC and Im pretty sure that messed everything up and put files on my phone that I can not use, so I reset my phone to factory settings and everything is fine. but my question is, do I need to get flash player mobile to be able to view youtube videos on the internet browser? I want to be able to log into youtube like I can on my computer and watch videos or upload videos from my phone.

The other thing I notice is when I go to Ebay.com and try to read item descriptions the item description does not show up. I can view the pictures and the title of the item, but the actual description does not show up at all.

And lastly the Myspace page. when I go to myspace.com I can not view my profile like I can on my PC, Is this normal for windows mobile?

I am completely new to the smart phone world so I dont know what is normal and what is not, the phone I had before this one was the nokia 6133 so nothing special. I got this phone for school purposes being I needed to upgrade my phone anyways and I also needed a lap top to view microsoft power point. my teacher does a power point everyday and we take notes from it, now I can just load his power point on to my phone, I also run my own private snowmobile atv repair shop out of my garage so I am able to put the repair manuals on my phone and I can view them, those were the major selling points for me, that and the big viewing screen and keyboard

Thanks for the help in advance.

Download the Flash Lite file found at the following link :

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=42776&d=1253570817

Install it and soft reset your device.  Then try it again from Opera Mobile.

As far as ebay goes.  Try to view ebay from the skyfire web browser.  You can download that browser here.

m.skyfire.com  ....Navigate to that link from Opera and download the file and install it.

Myspace loads tot he mobile myspace page by default.  When you open Opera Browser and type in www.myspace.com .  It should bring up a screen asking you if you want to open Regular myspace or Myspace Mobile.  If so then choose the first option.

If it does not then you can type in mail.myspace.com and it should open up the regular site.

Let me know if any of this helps you or if you need further help.

I dont even know what that is, I am as new to these kind of devises as it gets, and my normal PC skills are slim to none, when it comes to this stuff I usually have to have people dumb it down so I can understand it LOL, then it has to be kind of a step by step deal lol. Thanks again for the help on all of this I really appreciate it.

.Net Compact Framework 3.5:
http://www.alltouchpro.com/index.php?topic=1097.0

Mini-Definition from WikiPedia

"The Microsoft .NET Framework is a software framework that can be installed on computers running Microsoft Windows operating systems. It includes a large library of coded solutions to prevent common programming problems and a virtual machine that manages the execution of programs written specifically for the framework. The .NET Framework is a key Microsoft offering and is intended to be used by most new applications created for the Windows platform.

The framework's Base Class Library provides a large range of features including user interface, data and data access, database connectivity, cryptography, web application development, numeric algorithms, and network communications. The class library is used by programmers, who combine it with their own code to produce applications."

It can be downloaded from here;
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E3821449-3C6B-42F1-9FD9-0041345B3385&displaylang=en

1. Connect HTCTP to PC (via ActiveSync or WMDC)
2. Press the downloaded file (from PC)
3. Install and follow on screen information
4. Soft Reset

Viola!
(NOTE: This install takes some time.)

Hope this helps.

A soft reset is to restart your PPC.

You do this by taking out your stylus and pressing a little button at the bottom of the device, (to the right of the charging spot)
heres a guide:

(The first one on the page)

Hope that helps.
