Hello and good morning!

So, after 2 yearss with my HTC 8925 Kaiser Tilt (which I absolutely loved), I decided to "upgrade" to the HTC Touch Pro 2... Did I make a mstake?

I read hundreds of reviews about the TP2 before I bought it. When I found out three weeks ago, from tmobile, that the TP2 was coming out, I was very excited. An OS platform that I was already very comfortable with, and the added benefits of greater graphics, processing power, better keyboard, and larger screen with a lot of touch bells and whistles.

Now that I have the phone, I'm getting very fustrated. I can't seem to customize the home page, create a playlist for my music, turn off the uselss sites from the internet app, drag multiple MS office files or pictures, get the internet sharing feature to work with my Nokia N810, and a few other things that we were promised with the TP2.

Guess I'll just have to wait for the fixes and updates...oh yeah, the Windows Update app won't connect either...

Should I wait or turn around and take the phone back? I still have my Kaiser tilt after all...

Well, I made the switch from my HTC 8925 Kaiser Tilt to the brand new HTC Touch Pro 2... However, I think that I may have jumped the gun or made a mistake entirely. I have been a T-Mobile customer for 6 years and have never had any problems, btw.

So far, I've noticed the following issues;

1) Home Screen cannot be customized. No tasks, or anything other than whats already on it.
2) Cannot highlight multiple files
3) Cannot easily make a playlist of favorite songs (you have to do each song individually from the FULL Library)
4) Battery life blows. Its been about 3.5 hours of constant use and its already at 1/4 power now...
5) Internet Application is not able to be customized. I get to hit the big world icon and it takes me to yahoo (cannot change that), and I get the preset CNN, ESPN, and Youtube push applications...can't change those either... at least not that I have been able to find.
6) Can't internet share with my Nokia N810 (had zero problems with this with my Kaiser Tilt).
7) Screen alignment and rotation rarely work, and when they do its sporadic. The screen will rotate just fine when you pull the keyboard out, but it won't rotate otherwise, unless its by accident...
Cool No photo or picture editing. No cropping, no color editing, nada...
9) Can't get Windows Updater to connect...

So, I am a little fustrated right now. My HTC 8925 NEVER gave me any of the problems... I'm almost sorry I picked this HTP2 up, especially for the price (even through T-Mobile, it was $412.

Any suggestions? Should I wait it out and hope for fix updates? Should I take it back? HELP!!!!

Don't lose heart so quickly my friend - there's a solution for each and every one of those things.

It's not that it's not on the phone (most of these abilities are), it's just that to get to them is a bit different now than it used to be on your tilt.

I'm heading out the door right now, but we'll post some solutions up for you soon.

In the mean time: read up some more - some of these things are most likely addressed in the other forum: http://www.alltouchpro2.com/
