Voice and Data at the same time?

I was told by my Sprint rep that the TP could do voice and data at the same time
in other words pick up emails or send emails while I'm on the phone
while I've not been able to test the email i was able to try making a phone call and then surfing the web while on the phone, of cause it failed
is this just me and can the device do voice and data at the same time or was my rep wrong? Huh

Well i get texts while I am on the phone so it can do voice and data at the same time. I don't think it can transmit data outgoing though. I could be completely wrong but I don't think it can. I will test it later on today and let you know what I find out.

I am able send and receive text and picture messages while on the phone with no problem. However, you can not neither send nor receive emails while on the phone though.

I had to try it out.
During a call I clicked on a link in Opera. Each time I got a network error, except when I pulled up Google.com.
The voice seems to take precedent.
I tried it with GPS, and had no problems though. Maybe because it only pings sporadically...

I had the same exact experience as Atomic2Mod. Google came up slower than normal but it did come up. Every other web page I tried shot me a network error.

Evdo will be unavailable while you're on a phone call, so you'll only have 1xrtt. texts should be fine but web browsing will be iffy
