Okay, I did it.  :-D

I ordered my touch pro yesterday, it will be here Wednesday.

Without stating the OBVIOUS (keyboard, flash) what am I going to love most about the change, and was it worth 350 bucks?

haha just like me i went from my touch to a touch pro and i got it on friday...i love the phone...the screen is so much more clear and is alot better out in the sun....the shape really fits well in ur hand and getting all the extra apps with a faster phone is alot better....it runs alot smoother then the touch did and it wont slow down when u have a few programs running in the background....also the accelerometer makes for fun times with downloading games made for it

I've had much enjoy in the Memory stick option (Micro SD) Wink Also the high screen resolution is really nice.

The Touch Pro also got a nice battery, which isn't to bad actually!

I haven't tried the Touch, so I can't tell you what your going to like on the TP that ISN'T on the Pro, but I can say that you won't be dissopointed Wink

Yes, it's definitely worth it. for the longest time I had a PPC-6700 (previous generation to the Mogul) and my co-workers had the touch, so they were always giving me a hard time. now the tables are turned!

Your initial provisioning period takes forever bro.  Give it time.  Should work within 24 hours of the initial activation.

They've had me do all sorts of crap, and now Opera is gone, and several other programs don't work at all.

I'm about to head to the sprint store and remove the phone from sunny areas.   It can only get better, I didn't expect it til Wednesday.  But I do think I got a bad image.  Any good images out there?

Over 3 hours on the phone with tech support, and finally got the data up. This thing is much faster than my old touch.

The problem revolved around the data settings.  I got a great education on the ## codes!  :-)

The business card scanning seems hit-miss. I have one guy at work who's card scans perfect, another guy that I can't get a single piece of good data from.  My cards were great, as well.

I'm excited.  Can't wait to do more with it. Where's a good place to pick up apps that use the Touch Pro's features such as the accelerometer?

Check out the "Third party apps" section.  I have a few in the Master Application Thread.  There is also a thread on "Places to find apps" (Or something like that)

As far as the business card program.  Most business cards follow a general template.  If a business card is made from scratch I have found it VERY hard for the recognition software to recognize the different parts of the data.  For the most part the program works great though.

He has a hispanic name, so I just told him the program doesn't know spanish.  It worked.  :-D  I found that the lettering is just too close together on those cards.  The template is fine, but the font used stinks.

just for the record,  I don't think the keyboard is as great as I thought it was.  If I had to do over, I'd get the regular touch w/o sliding keyboard.

Also, the sliding connection is starting to get loose and the two halves now wiggle more than when it was new.  Anyone have issues with this?

Nope my keyboard sits pretty tight.  Has a little wiggle room but it is two halves so it's warranted.
