Hey guys.  I'm sure this topic has probably been covered in some way or another here but, I wasn't able to find anything specific to my situation.  What I want to know is if you guys think it is worth the trouble for me to get a Pro.  My plan is to sell my Diamond on eBay for just enough to get the Pro at Sprunt using my discounted price.  I could just buy the Pro and hang on to my Diamond as a back up but a long time ago I met this girl and then we ended up getting married so thats not really an option...heh. Wink  So what do you think?  I'm pretty happy with the Diamond but every once in a while I find myself wishing I had the Pro.

Well I was juggling the pros and cons for both phones when i got my Pro.  The thing that sold me most was the MicroSD card option.  I am a media freak and I download TONS of applications and games.  THe MicroSD card obviously is a better option if you like having lots of music and movies and such on your phone.

The other one obviously is the slide out keyboard.  I text a lot and found the on-screen keyboard was more hassle then helpful.  In the end these two additional features was MUCH MUCH worth the choice of the Touch Pro.

If you don't need more than the 4GB storage the Diamond offers and don't mind the on-screen kryboard then I honestly don't see the need as it is basically the same phone.  Now I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know but that is just what sold me on the phone.  I love the keyboard and love my 16GB of space Smiley

the only downside I see is that the TP is a bit thicker. but the qwerty keyboard is well worth it - it's a 5 row keyboard so you don't have to hit the fn button to get #'s.

Sprint TP

I got both. I need the pro because I do some major typing and the keyboard is just easier for that.

However, what I really like about the diamond is it's thin size. I usually carry it in my pant pocket, which does not work well with the pro. On the weekend, the only typing I do is some SMS and maybe some email. The onscreen keyboard is very convenient for this.

As for the flash, I don't really miss it on the Diamond. Thought I would, but I don't use it nearly enough as I thought, and the pictures indoors come out pretty much the same on either device.

The extra storage is important only if you find yourself watching movies a lot. I wonder, if they have come up with a little flash dongle yet.... Something like external storage that plugs into the mini usb, or a Bluetooth external hd. That way, you only take the movies when you actually know you have some downtime to watch them.

So, it prolly depends on what your habit and needs are. And how you want to carry your device (pocket or belt clip).

Well, if I were you I would sell the Diamond and get the TP Wink

This because on the TP you have the option for a Micro SD card, which I think is SUPER!!!! Because I use the TP as my MP3 player also, and I got all of my pictures on it Wink So the Micro SD makes the phone super!
Also it got the SlideOutKeyboard, which I find is great!
The Keyboard adds some size to the TP but I find that it actually isn't so big, it's rather comfy!
The Touch Pro also is delivered with a better battery! I've heard that sometimes you got to charge your Diamond 2 times a day! This is sick! because I go two days, with normal use, without charging!

But if you don't mind the on screen-keyboard, the 4GB internal store, the glossy back (Which isn't on the TP) and the poor battery, then I would stick with the Diamond Tongue

I'd say if it's only "every so often" then I'd save your money.  Might be a newer version out in 6 months, anyway.   I am thinking I'd have been fine with the touch diamond.
