I have latest firmware.  I have WM 6.1 pro.

CE OS 5.2.21054 build 21054.1.6.7

Processor: MSM7501A-528Mhz
Memory: 203.45 MB
Expansion slot is in use.

Can I add memory or upgrade the processor?  Different OS?  I've looked into Android but it doesn't seem really ready for this phone.

Hum, a soft reset may do the trick.

Press the Top Right Corner (task manager corner) then tell me what percent it says. A stock ROM should be at 35-38%, EnergyROM is usually on about 48-51%. This is your CPU usage, the higher percentage, the slower the phone will go, usually. It's kind of hard to explain...

Anyways, just tell what percentage it says. If it is too high a Soft reset often does it.

It was 43% after a full day of use, I did a soft reset and now it's 34%.

I do a soft reset every day (scheduled reset).

I'd rather not reset it 5 times a day.  Is there another solution?

There's always a solution Tongue hehe.

Well, I would try to hard reset the phone, you can do this by; Backup all stuff you need, PIM Backup is a good program for this, then go into Settings, and System, then Wipe device. Press 1234 or YES and it'll do it in like 10 minutes (+-)

I would try that if I were you.

I've done a hard reset too.  This seems to me to be just how WM works on this phone.  If it were a PC I would upgrade the CPU, install more RAM, something like that (assuming programs had already been cleaned up).  I feel like I've done all the cleanup I can do which really just leaves hardware upgrade.

Hmm, could be a hardware failure. Because it should not be a very slow device. Of course, as it is an old device now, it might not be as fast as the newest devices and phones on the market. Take it to a electric shop and ask them what they think, whether it can be a hardware failure or if you just expect to much of it.
