Hey guys, I'm new here, and I got an HTC Touch Pro a while ago. I've been using my own WiFi as I do not have a data plan with Nextel (I have the Sprint version of the phone) And I keep getting this annoying 'Data Call Failure' pop up with the error sound and it saying "Error Code 67 Registration failure your PCS Vision username/password may be incorrect", how do I get rid of that?

Also My email never updates, I've set up all my accounts and nothing ever shows up even when I KNOW I've received e-mail. Thanks for the help in advance!

When you click on: Start/Settings/System/Device Information
under Current username it should show your vision username. Without that, you won't get a data connection.

To fix: take it to the sprint store and tell them to program it in. Or you can call Support or do it over the chat-line online. It's very easy to do with the MSL (?) code, which they have.

Ok I have a touch pro 2 with the same issue. I tried to go into Start/Settings/System/Device Information but there is no entry for "Current username"... I have also entered ##data# and deleted all of the info. After resetting it contacts sprint, gets my username and pw. and continues on its merry way with that annoying error. I am truly not concerned with the fact that it HAS the error. Just want to get rid of the popups...

Help me please!

To get to the screen that has the relevant info, you need to dial ##778#. To edit the info, you'll need your MSL code. If your phone number is reflected properly in there, you can out of that screen and update your profile in the phone's settings menu (PRL / Profile etc.)

Hi, new here. I've been reading and hunting, seem to be in the right ball park

but......
HTC TP TEATHER TO PC: Already did all the REG stuff, been tethering for more then a

month with no prob but now I get the error 67 password.user thing. Did soft restart

several times, even took battery out, the only way I could update profile I went to

FB just so I was on internet or it would't update. Won't update windows, says to

make sure data connection is right. I've tried with usb and bluetooth, my sync works

fine on all. I push connect. 'checking usb' then 'waiting for network' then 'error

67'. I have spent a day and a half trying to find answer. I can go on internet with

phone but can't tether. Afraid to mess with update PRL, have never done a hard

restart.  The MDA is right, the same MSID that I started with is there, the user name is correct.   I'm so lost           H-E-L-P........  Undecided......... P-L-E-A-S-E-
