Hey everyone,
This morning I was on the HTC website just to see what's going on, and right on the home screen there was the pics for the HTC Touch Diamond 2 and HTC Touch Pro 2....It looks ridiculous. The screen is double the size of the original models i believe 3.8 inches (comparable to iPhone, and Omnia). It's resolution is way beefier than Pro 1 with 480x800 WVGA Screen. The Pro1 featured 480x640 VGA Screen. The Diamond 2 has a 5 Megapixel Cam, and The Pro 2 has a 3.2 Megapixel Cam, and the Pro 2 features this new dual speaker phone technology for making conference calls straight from your phone. The Pro 2 has an adjustable screen to make it look more like a portable laptop, keeping the same great 5 row qwerty keyboard with more space in between the letters. They both have TouchFlo 3d and this really awesome zoom bar where instead of rotating like the originals you just slide your thumb over the bar to zoom. The Pro 2 has a slightly bigger battery life (from what the HTC Website says) 270 min talk time on WCDMA and 419 min on GSM. Standby time is 454 hours on WCDMA and 348 hours on GSM. Now this is right from HTC Website. The original touch pro has 250 min talk time and 350 hours standby (on sprint). I can tell you that I do not get 250 min talk time on my touch pro, so I don't know if the Pro 2's numbers are as accurate as I hope, but there is a slight improvement. Removable Micro SD memory expansion on both Pro 2 and Diamond 2. Both Feature FM Radio and G-Sensor. Check out the HTC Website for a great look at this phone. Let me know what you think. I am unsure if this device will hit the US if so I will buy the Pro 2 without question. If anybody knows if this will hit U.S. Shelves please alert me and I would be forever in your debt lol.

Thanks,
Cheesy

Damn! I only got 3 months of new phone ownership before the new model jealousy started. And I bought the TP on the very first day it was available to employees!

I'm with you on that one my friend...I got Touch Pro only 2 months ago, and here is the new one. I am soooooooo jelous, and I can't wait til it ships in the u.s. I will own this phone. Hopefully it ships in the Summer. If you check on youtube there are quite a bit of vids from the show in Barcelona featuring the phone. It looks rediculous. It has new features like the ability to edit your touchflo 3d tabs, and this new internet feature that allows your bookmarks to load instantly. I am pretty sure it only works with bookmarks, but it's still awsome....anyway check out the video's and let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Grin

Yea I just saw it. Frankly it no big upgrade. The only huge improvement (if you will) is the ability to make conference calls.

Other than that...

The conference call thing really didn't affect me because I don't really do that with my job. The coolest thing I think about the new version of the already great touch pro would have to be the double size of the screen...I love the 3.8 wvga screen, and would love to have my touch pro with double the screen...that's my biggest pro

thanks for listening Smiley

Since the Diamond2 will come with an SD card - I'll ditch the Pro and go Diamond. I'm guessing it will take til the end of the year to see those in the US.

I work for a company that will release the htc pro2. We just got an officail training on the pro2 and the new dash.  the dash Is great for those that love the dash. the new ball is to slow for me. blackberry seems to have them beat on that. the pro2 feels like a $1500 phone. the thing feels like money. the screen picture is the best I have seen. the glass screen is that of the iphone. the pro2 has a great gui . telenav is awesome . With mid 200's ram and 32gig sd memory max. I don't see any other phone being able to run next to it. Let's not forget it's windows,  the only os that supports "skyfire" . sorry verizon but that is the "real internet" If you are looking for the go ahead on the purchase of the pro2 when it releases HERE IT IS... buy it...

No offense bro but speculation is everything.  As you may indeed be telling the truth there has been speculation EVERYWHERE about the TP2.  haha  Supposedly it is already out and has been "spotted" as people would like to say..haha

So wait...is the screen glass or not? That may actually be a big question on whether or not I upgrade right away. I have a lot of scratches, like...less than hairline, that are annoying. And even if you have a screen-protector, the protector will get those same scratches.
